Partnership Law in Indonesia Theories and Cases – Yetty Komalasari Dewi

One of the crucial elements in the development of a country lies in the existence of companies. An example of a company that is known in Indonesia, albeit not having many references to it, is a partnership company. Even though the use of legal form partnerships as a vessel for carrying out business activities are increasing in number and is generally well received by the public, the types of partnership companies we know are civil partnerships (maatschap), partnership with firms (firma), or limited partnerships (CV). With the enactment of the ASEAN Economic Community, the interaction of the business world is getting more intense, including companies in Indonesia that originated from other ASEAN countries. Even though these countries have their own form of company partnerships, there are some differences with the “partnerships” in Indonesia, as well as other forms of partnerships that are unknown in Indonesia. This book was written to provide an understanding of the legal aspects of a partnership company, especially for students in the Faculty of Law, and for the legal community in general. While the focus of this book is about the various forms of partnership companies, it starts off by discussing sole proprietorships.
